UNIT 7; Proportions and Similarity

In this unit, we will learn that similar objects are distinguished by a common ratio for their respective parts, and not a common difference, which is the simpler method of comparison.

Lesson 1 :  7-1 & 7-2 {Similar polygons}

Lesson 2 :   7-3 {similar triangles}

Lesson 3: 7-4 {Parallel Lines and Proportional Parts}

Lesson 4:  7-5 {Parts of Similar Triangles}

  • Objective: Students will be able to recognize and use proportional relationships of corresponding angle bisectors, altitudes, and medians of similar triangles.
