2025-2026 McMillan Middle School Improvement Plan
Goal 1: By May 2026, 6th-8th grade student proficiency on the NSCAS ELA and Math assessments will increase from 24.49% to 30.49%.
Strategies: Professional Learning Communities, Effective Instructional Practices
Goal 2: By May 2026, we will decrease the baseline chronic absenteeism rate of 55.24% to 46.95%.
Strategies: Each student is assigned an attendance coach, who encourages them to attend school every day, as well as arrive to class on time.
Goal 3: By May 2026, the percentage of EL students who are on-track towards English Language Proficiency, as measured by the ELPA 21 Summative, will increase from 28.81% to 43.81%.
Strategies: The success of transition students, using best practice instructional strategies for EL students to increase learning and understanding.
